Kristina Grace

About Kristina Grace
Many mothers fall through the gaps.
They don’t meet the threshold for specialist services, yet they are struggling — with mental health, transition, identity, and the demands of parenting. Services are often stretched, fragmented, or not designed to meet the complexity of what mothers are experiencing.
This is the gap Kristina Grace set out to address.
Through her work as a social worker and founder of Mothers Helpers, Kristina saw firsthand the number of women not receiving the support they needed — and the impact this had not only on mothers, but on families and communities.
In response, she developed a range of practical, evidence-informed mental health and parenting programmes designed to be delivered at scale. These programmes support mothers through key transitions, including returning to work and parenting neurodivergent children, and are designed for organisations to deliver within their own services.
Kristina’s work focuses on creating solutions that are both clinically grounded and practical to implement — supporting organisations to respond more effectively to maternal mental health needs and improve outcomes for the families they serve.
With over 16 years’ experience in mental health, Kristina brings a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, group work, and programme development. She now works with organisations in New Zealand and internationally, offering programme licensing, speaking, and consulting.
